Grades K–2 need only a stick and mouthguard to begin — we have loaner helmets and pads at no cost. From grade 3 up, players need a helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, mouthguard, and cleats. We host a gear night before every season with fitting help and a used-equipment swap.
Fall Ball runs September through mid-November. The main Spring season runs February through late May, with tournaments continuing into June for travel teams. Winter Skills Academy is an optional indoor block from November to January.
No player is ever cut in grades K–5 — evaluations exist only to place kids on balanced teams. Starting in grade 6, we hold evaluations to place players on Rec, Select, or Elite rosters. Every player who registers has a place in the club.
K–2 is one hour a week. Grades 3–5 practice twice a week with roughly one game weekend a month. Grades 6–8 practice two to three times a week with travel weekends. Islanders Elite adds morning lifts and a showcase schedule. We publish the full calendar before registration closes so you can plan.
Fees cover coaching, field time, league and tournament entries, referees, and your uniform kit. Travel and lodging are separate for tournament teams. We reserve need-based scholarships every season — email us privately and it stays between us.
Not remotely. We add first-time players at every grade level, including high school, and run a dedicated new-player track so beginners are not thrown into drills built for experienced kids.
Cancellations post to your parent dashboard and go out by email at least 90 minutes before start time whenever possible. When in doubt, check the schedule page — it is always the source of truth.
